This Tuesday, April 11th, the Secretary General of the Big Data Value Association (BDVA), Ana García, visited Persei vivarium´s office and got together with part of the management team, Roberto Bravo, CEO of the Company, Elli Ghozzati, Vicepresident of Neuroscience, and Rosa Siles, Director of Institutional Relations.

The aim of this meeting was to make a first contact between the company and the association, to get to know each other, and to explore possible future ways to collaborate around Big Data.

The Big Data Value Association (BDVA) is a fully self-financed not–for-profit organization under Belgian law. It’s the private counterpart to the EU Commission to implement the BDV Public-Private Partnership (PPP) program.

The objectives of the Association are to boost European Big Data Value research, development and innovation and to foster a positive perception of Big Data Value.

BDVA has a division called “Application” whose main objective is to identify applications in which big data technologies can create the biggest impact in Europe. This area will facilitate value creation in Europe by supporting selected industrial sectors and other areas of interest with big data technologies, like healthcare, telecom, content/media, energy, manufacturing…
