Persei vivarium’s science department is headed by José Luis Rojo-Álvarez, Chief Scientific Officer, and Sergio Muñoz-Romero, Head of Data Science and Big Data. They organized a science seminar that the entire company team could enjoy. In the seminar they described a new procedure for analyzing large forms in a systematic way, and they explored the results that they have obtained by applying this technique to the mathematical forms from the PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) report for our country from four years ago.
Using this approach, they observed that it allowed them to uncover a great number of interesting research hypotheses, several of which were investigated later by the educational research community, and others that are producing new information at this time.
Finally, they discussed the notable parallels between this application and the need to extract information and clinical hypotheses from large data bases in medical specialties.
