In June, The Digital Health Association (ASD) celebrated its first breakfast event under the name of: “Cyber security. Road map in case of cyber attacks.”
Our CTO, Miguel Cabañas, the person responsible for Persei vivarium security, had the pleasure of being one of the invited participants at this initiative. In his presentation, he shared his knowledge and experience in this field based on how our company works to provide an adequate security, and explained how to take action when we are affected by a web threat.
“Cibersecurity is a MUST that all organization should work in and we should not forget that it incluides not only technical measures but also organizational and processes measures. It’s a good recomendation that all the organizations should implement any methodology to enhance security policies following Deming cycle because it may help to have a continuous improvement of all the security measures”.
Miguel Cabañas also highlighted that training employees in security issues is also an important but he remarked that it isn’t enough to embrace the concepts, it’s important to carry on other actions in order to raise awareness like simulations or fake attacks.
The Digital Health Association (ASD) is a non-profit organization that shares and provides opportunities for discussion about the use of information and communication technologies in the areas of medicine and health. Their goals include the exchange of information and knowledge with other associations.
