Persei vivarium extends its appreciation to Lovexair for its involvement with chronic diseases like COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).
Miguel Cabañas, our chief technology officer, had the opportunity to attend the event organized by the Lovexair Foundation.
It was an exciting meeting, with participants from the healthcare sector, including industry, eHealth businesses, healthcare professionals and patients.
Different topics were addressed, including pulmonary health, the importance of the informed patient, and self-care. Participants also plunged into a discussion of the current digital resources available to the patient with a chronic disease.
Miguel Cabañas spoke about the digital resources available to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. One of Persei vivarium’s areas of interest is in using information systems to manage daily clinical practice, encouraging research and enabling secondary uses of that research. The main contribution of mobile applications and some wearables linked to the patient is the possibility of extending the data, enabling them to be used as big data sets, thus producing predictive patterns and insights into different pathologies.
Regulation, security, and privacy were other topics that were considered. Our company considers these issues to be the basis of all treatment of clinical data.
We extend our thanks to Lovexair for their invitation. We look forward to continued collaboration.
Lovexair is a foundation with the objective of increasing the understanding of the importance of prevention and monitoring of pulmonary diseases. Last year, they launched “HappyAir “, an initiative that aims to promote, prevent and provide ongoing support to the community of people affected by lung disease through collaborating pharmacies and their educator network .
