Providing curated clinical information from Real World Data in Diabetes

November 14th is the World Diabetes Day. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness of a condition that millions of people all around the world live with every day. Essentially, diabetes is about the body’s ability (or lack of it) to produce the required amount of a hormone called insulin to control glucose levels in the blood. There are broadly two types of diabetes: Type 1 requires daily administration of artificial insulin by means of injection or insulin pump. Type 2 is more generally managed by a combination of dietary control and medication in the form of tablets.
Working together for a better impact: providing curated clinical information from Real World Data in Diabetes
Persei vivarium joins the activities coordinated by the main actors today in Spain and Europe, such as The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and The Spanish Diabetes Association (SED).

We know the importance of the generation of quality and curated clinical information sources. For that reason Persei vivarium put the focus on this thanks to our technology diasfera.

diasfera is an initiative powered by Persei vivarium  in collaboration with Clinica Dialibre. It is a Digital Health platform to improve the continuum of care and to manage the diabetes clinical pathway. The technological platform of Persei vivarium allows the capture of clinical data in the daily clinical practice (Real-World Data), and facilitates the generation important indicators such as incidents, diagnosis, treatment, quality assistance, patient experience, follow up and patient guides.

The diasferaⓇ ecosystem also integrates other Persei vivarium solutions such as patients support programs, clinical research and coordination between different care levels. Optimizing prevention, management and control needs more patient and family involvement, especially for type 1 Diabetes cases.
