At the beginning of the year, <\/span>NavigAIT.me<\/span><\/b> was successfully launched, a project by the SEAIC (Spanish Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology), coordinated by the Fundaci\u00f3n Hospital Infantil Ni\u00f1o Jes\u00fas and led by Dr. Pablo Rodr\u00edguez del R\u00edo, Consultant Specialist in Allergology at the hospital. This is a prospective controlled clinical study involving patients with respiratory allergies, aimed at <\/span>improving adherence to aeroallergen immunotherapy, commonly known as \u201callergy shots\u201d.<\/span><\/b> In this real-world research project, the aim is to empower patients by enabling them to <\/span>report their own data through the Caaring\u00ae mobile app<\/span><\/b>, while also receiving educational resources to help them better manage their condition and treatment.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

As with other chronic treatments, immunotherapy\u2014which must be administered for at least three years to achieve sustained efficacy\u2014faces the challenge of maintaining long-term treatment adherence. <\/span>Only around 35% of patients remain on treatment for the minimum three-year period required<\/span><\/b>, <\/span>as reported in a recent study<\/span><\/a>, which can have significant negative consequences for health outcomes.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Against this background, <\/span>NavigAIT.me<\/span><\/b> was created as a multi-year clinical study, made possible by the <\/span>voluntary participation of numerous centres and researchers across Spain.<\/span><\/b> Its primary objective is to <\/span>improve therapeutic adherence to aeroallergen immunotherapy through the use of the Caaring\u00ae digital platform.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n

The Caaring\u00ae digital platform, developed by <\/span>Persei vivarium<\/span><\/a>, provides patients with a mobile application featuring a specific care pathway that includes <\/span>questionnaires, educational resources and reminders designed to support the self-management of their immunotherapy treatment.<\/span><\/b> At the same time, it provides healthcare professionals with a <\/span>tool to monitor their patients\u2019 progress, reported data and use of the application.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n

Since its launch, the <\/span>NavigAIT.me study has continued to progress successfully<\/span><\/b>, with <\/span>43 participating researchers and 113 patients already enrolled<\/span><\/b>.
