Digital Biomarkers.<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/perseivivarium.com\/blog\/what-are-digital-biomarkers-and-what-benefits-do-they-provide-in-the-study-and-management-of-diseases\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Digital Biomarkers are objective and quantifiable biological measurements that are obtained using digital technologies<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> like <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">smartphones, wearables, sensors, and other devices that enable the collection of patient information in a simple way, without effort on the part of the patient, and outside of the hospital environment.<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> These data complement the patient\u2019s clinical information obtained from tests and medical visits, providing a broader view of his or her status and disease.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">As noted in the publication, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41746-024-01023-w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cWalk, talk, think, see and feel: harnessing the power of digital biomarkers in healthcare\u201d<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, Digital Biomarkers from various sources can provide the following information:<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Physical functioning:<\/span><\/b> <b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The way in which we walk<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> provides a lot of information, and can be an <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">indicator of various medical conditions.<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0These data can be obtained from <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">wearables and some types of sensors.<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This helps the provider to make diagnoses in a timely way, and detect complications quickly, acting at the appropriate time and improving the patient\u2019s health and quality of life.<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0This is only the beginning, as the application of these markers in the healthcare environment <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">through technology and AI can create new ways to understand and treat diseases, promoting medical care that is more personalized and patient centered.<\/span><\/b><span
