This is the case with <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCT<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">).<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Decentralized Clinical Trials are differentiated from traditional ones in that the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/perseivivarium.com\/blog\/what-is-a-decentralized-clinical-trial-and-what-advantages-does-it-offer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">patients can participate without having to be present in person at the hospital or research institution<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0In this case, the <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">monitoring throughout the trial, as well as the necessary testing, is carried out remotely<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, and the data are gathered through a series of questionnaires to which the <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">patient responds and\/or through connected data-contrast=\"auto\">In this context, technology and <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Digital Health platforms<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> play a key role, as they can be used as tools for the development and capture of information, thanks to their ability to <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">collect data in real time (those reported by the patient as well as data from sensors and wearables), and to monitor the patient remotely.<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201c\u00bfQu\u00e9 es un Estudio Cl\u00ednico Descentralizado y qu\u00e9 ventajas ofrece?\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DCTs offer a variety of advantages and benefits:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, which was encouraged in the recent publication of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aemps.gob.es\/informa\/la-aemps-publica-la-guia-para-la-realizacion-de-elementos-descentralizados-en-ensayos-clinicos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cGu\u00eda para la realizaci\u00f3n de elementos descentralizados en ensayos cl\u00ednicos\u201d de la AEMPS<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, published by the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices.\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The goal is to implement these trials, ensuring their appropriate operation.<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">If we focus on <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">research in oncology, Decentralized Clinical Trials offer significant potential<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\"> as, in addition to <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">boosting access for oncology patients<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\"> who otherwise <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">would not be able to benefit from them, they facilitate continuous remote monitoring, assuring the supervision that is needed in this disease<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">.
