Last week marked the launch of <\/span>“GESO a pie de cama\u201d<\/span><\/b>, an initiative that complements all the projects of the <\/span>Spanish Group for Obstetric Safety (GESO in Spanish)<\/span><\/a>. This time, it <\/span>enables obstetricians, through a mobile application, to efficiently collect up-to-date data on maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality for each patient,<\/span><\/b> as well as other relevant related information. The project, built with Persei vivarium technology, is driven by \u201cGESO\u201d, and promoted by <\/span>Professor Dr. \u00d3scar Mart\u00ednez, Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the HM Madrid R\u00edo Hospital.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cGESO a pie de cama\u201d<\/span><\/b> aims to <\/span>evaluate how obstetric care is being provided in Spain, the training of healthcare professionals, and the health habits of pregnant population. <\/span><\/b>This will help identify areas for <\/span>improvement in the care process and implement specific measures to address them.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n To do this, various research projects were conducted, beginning with a <\/span>study focused on analyzing the current situation in vacuum-assisted births, evaluating the impact of simulation training and the implications of this technique on associated complications.<\/span><\/b> The <\/span>principal investigator for this study is Dr. Mar\u00eda Rosa Vila Hern\u00e1ndez, from the Obstetrics and Gynecology Service at the Hospital of Santa Caterina.\u00a0<\/span><\/b> \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This initial study will be joined in 2025 by one promoted by the <\/span>\u201cFundaci\u00f3n Mapfre\u201d<\/span><\/a> on driving habits among pregnant population<\/span><\/b>. The aim is to gather <\/span>evidence to raise awareness and provide safe measures for car use within this population group.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
